Latham Canada names new president

Latham Splash Canada in Ajax, Ont., has named industry veteran Tim Golden as the company's new president.

In his new position, Golden will set the general direction and be accountable for the overall performance of Latham's Canadian and export businesses. He will also maintain accountability for its Kafko sales and service operations in North America.

"As the industry continues to face the challenges of an uncertain economy, it is important to have an individual with a clear vision and understanding of our business needs and those of the Canadian swimming pool market," said Mark Laven, chief executive officer of Latham International in Latham, N.Y. "Tim is uniquely qualified for this role with 30 years experience in the business. He has a long history in the Canadian marketplace as he worked with Technican Industries before moving to Scarborough Canvas/Triac and continuing on with Latham."
