Canadian hot tub dealers recognized

Canadian hot tub retailers shared their secrets to success in SpaRetailers' annual Retail Stars report.

Three Canadian hot tub retailers were recently profiled in SpaRetailer (July/August), as part of the publication's annual Retail Stars report, in which dealers across North America share their secrets to success.

In Eastern Canada, Premium Wholesale Home & Leisure, which has three locations in Ontario (Barrie, Kitchener and Mississauga), offered advice on staying power, while Mahon Pools, Spas, Tanning & Billiards in Perth, Ont., shared its future outlook on business growth. In Western Canada, Sunset Bay Hot Tubs in Regina, Sask., discussed how the key to longevity is following up with customers and providing excellent service.

"One of the reasons we've continued to grow is to not just sit here in the store and wait for people to wander in," Premium Wholesale's owner, Christian Ryan, said in the report. "We've constantly been looking for better ways to advertise, better ways for customer retention, direct marketing and things like that. Also, we've been doing more show-type events."

This is third annual edition of the profile section, which was expanded this year to cover nine regions across North America.
