ControlOMatic, a manufacturer of electronic saltwater chlorine/bromine generators for hot tubs, has partnered with HornerXpress to distribute its saltwater chlorine/bromine generator products on an international scale. As part of the company's plan to fill a market void, ControlOMatic, of Grass Valley, Calif., has developed sanitization systems specifically designed for a hot tub's higher water temperature and smaller water volume. Both the ColorChlor® and TechniChlor™ chlorine generators can save hot tub owners/operators time by eliminating the need to store and pour traditional liquid, granule or tablet sanitizing products. "Chlorine generator technology has been around for 30 years in the pool industry," says Scott Lenney, CEO and founder of ControlOMatic. "We have tapped into that same technology and successfully applied it to the hot water environment in the portable spa market." To support this strategy, the sanitization products will be distributed through HornerXpress' worldwide distribution channels based in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Canadian distribution is pending approval by Health Canada. Tony Marcantonio, owner of Azzurro Solutions, a ControlOMatic dealer in Ottawa, Ont., has spearheaded the registration process for the hot tub sanitization products, which have already been approved by the Canadian Standards Association (CSA). |
