A great show by all accounts

The 2008 Canadian Pool & Spa Conference & Expo was a resounding success, according to exhibitors and attendees.

The event, which took place December 9-11 at the Toronto Congress Centre, welcomed 400 individual builder/retailer/service companies and boasted a 25 per cent increase in attendance over last year.

With the judging completed for Pools, Spas & Patios' 2008 Canadian Art of Water Design Awards earlier this month, the industry eagerly awaits the awards ceremony on February 6 at the Renaissance Hotel in Toronto.

NSPF announces scholarship fellowship recipients

The National Swimming Pool Foundation^® (NSPF) in Colorado Springs, Colo., has awarded $30,000 in scholarships and fellowships to 26 students for the year 2008-2009.

Italian magazine launches new trade show

The Italian trade magazine, Piscine Oggi, has launched ForumPiscine, a new conference and trade show dedicated to the world of water, including the design, building and management of swimming pools and aquatic centres.
