Roland and Lori Guy welcome guests aboard the Empire Sandy to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Service Plus Aquatics.

Service Plus Aquatics, a commercial pool management and construction firm based in Mississauga, Ont., recently celebrated its 20th anniversary in style by welcoming more than 140 clients and media aboard the 61-m (200-ft) Empire Sandy sailing ship.

The fully rigged vessel left from Bronte Harbour for a four-hour tour along the coastline of western Lake Ontario. Service Plus Aquatics owner and founder, Roland Guy, and his wife, Lori, played host to staff and invited guests, who enjoyed a cocktail reception and live band.

During the event, Guy, who now manages more than 300 commercial pool clients across southwestern Ontario, spoke about the history of the company, his motivations and the people who helped him along the way.

Officially acknowledged during an awards presentation were clients John Dzenekoj and Don Ouellette, for 20 years of continued support. Employee Matthew Sequin was also recognized for his 15 years with the company, while fellow staff members Tricia Clarke and Shawn Jeffery were recognized for their five-year terms.
