| New certification for Waterco device |
Image courtesy Waterco Waterco's MultiCyclone pre-filtration device can now bear the NSF Mark, after being certified under NSF's Standard 50. Waterco, an Australia-based swimming pool and spa equipment company with offices in St-Hyacinthe, Que., is reportedly the first manufacturer to receive certification to NSF International's Standard 50 for a pre-filtration device. As a result of the certification, Waterco can now place the NSF Mark on its certified MultiCyclone pre-filtration devices. The MultiCyclone line uses centrifugal water filtration and is designed to extend the life of a pool's existing filter, while reducing workload and water consumption. Standard 50 is the U.S. national standard for swimming pools, spas and hot tubs, covering various parts and equipment. Compliance with the standard is required by most local and U.S. pool codes. Certification verifies certain performance and material health requirements have been met. NSF International is an independent, not-for-profit organization that certifies products and writes standards for food, water and consumer goods. The group is accredited as a certification organization by the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) and American National Standards Institute (ANSI). More information on the Waterco certification can be found on NSF's website at www.nsf.org.
