New dates for 2010 IPSPE

The 2010 edition of the International Pool | Spa | Patio Expo will now be held November 3 to 5 in Las Vegas, Nev.

In response to feedback from exhibitors and attendees of the International Pool | Spa | Patio Expo (IPSPE), show manager, Hanley Wood Exhibitions, has changed the show's 2010 dates to avoid overlapping with the 2010 Piscine show in Lyon, France.

Originally scheduled to take place two weeks later, the 2010 IPSPE will now be held November 3 to 5 in the Bayside Halls at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nev. The educational conference will be held October 31 to November 5.

"It's really tough to get dates in Las Vegas, but we worked really hard to secure dates earlier in the month," says Expo director, Donna Bellantone. "We firmly believe these new dates will better meet the needs of our attendees and exhibitors who also participate in the Piscine show."

Pools, Spas & Patios to hit newsstands next week

The 2012 annual issue of Pools, Spas & Patios, the only Canadian magazine targeted to the backyard leisure living market, will be available on newsstands May 14.

To reflect the company's new brand strategy, Pentair Water Pool and Spa Inc., a manufacturer/supplier of equipment and accessories for residential and commercial swimming pools in Sanford, N.C., has changed its name to Pentair Aquatic Systems.

Genesis 3 Design Group recently hosted its first annual educational summit where its gold, platinum and Society of Watershape Designers (SWDs) members gathered to hear about changes within the group's structure.

In an effort to market its new concrete wall forming system to pool builders, landscapers and contractors, Spider Tie Canada Inc., recently held its second training event where builders from across Canada took part in constructing an entire swimming pool.

This year's Association of Pool & Spa Professionals' (APSP's) industry summit will focus on more than a year's worth of consumer research commissioned specifically for the pool and hot tub industry.
