| Hydropool, La-Z-Boy form partnership |
Photo courtesy La-Z-Boy Inc./Hydropool Industries Canadian spa company, Hydropool Industries, will design, manufacture, market and sell eight new hot tubs under the La-Z-Boy brand name. Hydropool Industries and La-Z-Boy have joined forces to bring two new luxury portable residential spa collections to the North American market. Under the terms of the companies' new licensing agreement, Hydropool, a spa company based in Mississauga, Ont., will design, manufacture, market and sell the collections, which will be branded with the La-Z-Boy name. A total of eight models—four in the Signature Collection and four in the Premier Collection—will be made initially. La-Z-Boy spas will feature customizable hydrotherapy and water management systems designed to improve use and maintenance. Additional features will include audio systems, retractable flat screen TV monitors, LED lighting and floating remote controls. The new models are expected to be on display this January at the Atlantic City Pool & Spa Show, with spas set to hit U.S. stores in early to mid-2010. The collections are slated for a Canadian launch in early 2011.
