| Longley releases 'how-to' book for sales professionals |

Selling hot tubs just got easier, with the release of sales expert Marco Longley's new book, The Ultimate Hot Tub and Pool $ales Book. Officially launched at the 2009 International Pool | Spa | Patio Expo (IPSPE) in November, the book offers readers a better understanding of sales by providing a variety of techniques, strategies and sales exercises specific to the swimming pool and hot tub industry. In writing the book, Longley, president of Top 10 Sales and Consulting in Langley, B.C., drew from his career as a sales professional, which has spanned more than 25 years and multiple countries. He says the idea for the book came from his wife, Anne. "After the hot tub manufacturer I was with shut down, I spent more than a month purging through sales training and marketing materials I had developed over the years and wondered what I was going to do with it all," he said. "Since I had the time, I took a year off and put almost 500 hours into compiling the information, including testimonials I received throughout my sales journey around the globe." In addition to the printed copy, which is available for purchase through Longley's website (www.top10salesandconsulting.com), the book is supplemented with a downloadable PDF version and a soon-to-be released audio book and a home study DVD-seminar series. A free Longley also plans to release a followup book, tailored to consumers, titled How to Buy a Pool or Hot Tub in 2010.
