Canadian pool and spa products company, BioLab Canada, and its BioGuard brand have helped strike a blow in the fight against cystic fibrosis. Company representatives were on hand at this month's Canadian Pool & Spa Conference & Expo to present a $25,000 cheque to ambassadors from the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CCFF). The presentation was the result of the company's Splash for CF fundraising campaign, in which Canadian BioGuard dealers made donations and held promotions to raise funds and awareness in their local communities. "It has been great working with the CCFF," says BioLab Canada marketing manager, Scott Sharp. "We look forward to continuing the commitment and growing our relationship in 2010." CCFF funds research and care for cystic fibrosis, a hereditary disease that causes progressive disability and, according to CCFF statistics, affects one in every 3,600 children.
