International Landscaping Inc., was the sole Canadian winner in the first ever GAVA design competition, earning a gold award for their project titled 'Water & Fire in Suspension.'

International Landscaping Inc., a landscaping firm in Milton, Ont., was the lone Canadian winner in Global AquaTekture Visionary Award's (GAVA's) inaugural design competition.

The 2009 competition saw gold, silver and bronze awards presented to 39 companies in both residential and commercial divisions. Projects were judged on several factors including esthetics and overall objectiveness, as well as originality and diversification in the demonstration of respect for environmental, cultural, philosophical and/or historical components.

International Landscaping's gold-winning project, 'Water & Fire in Suspension' was also an emerald award winner in the 2006 Art of Water Design Awards and was featured in PSM Online's sister publication Pools, Spas & Patios.

GAVA is presented by Three V Enterprises, a Las Vegas, Nev.-based corporation, which develops platforms to recognize architects, designers, builders and manufacturers worldwide. It is an integrated international competition open to all design professionals from all associations.
