Photo courtesy Marquis Spas Marquis Spas has officially expanded its relationship with the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Canada and launched a new hot tub model, which will also see the company’s financial commitment to the program increase. An agreement between Marquis Spas and the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Canada will see the portable hot tub manufacturer's sponsorship of the program officially expand north of the border. The company, which is based in Independence, Ore., has been a sponsor of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America since supporting its first wish in 2000, while an informal collaboration between Marquis Spas, its dealers and the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Canada was previously in place. "The new agreement will allow us to do more for the Make-A-Wish Foundation," said John Schrenk, president of Marquis Spas. "Instead of helping out on a case-by-case basis in Canada, we will have a formal procedure in place, allowing us to help more children and get more of our dealers involved in granting wishes." Marquis Spas also introduced a new hot tub—the Wish™—and announced for every unit sold to a Marquis dealer the company will donate $25 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation to help more children's wishes come true, and not just hot tub wishes. In the last 10 years, Marquis Spas has helped nearly 400 children with life-threatening medical conditions and generated more than $2.4 million in hot tub donations and discounts to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
