Pool & Spa Marketing and Pools, Spas & Patios is once again pleased to sponsor the Pool & Hot Tub Council of Canada (PHTCC) Design & Construction Awards competition. Swimming pool/hot tub builders and landscapers have until Oct. 19, 2010 to submit entries for the 2010 competition, which recognizes the best in pool, hot tub and landscape design. Entrants must be members in good standing of either the PHTCC or its sister organization, the Association des commerçants de piscines du Québec (ACPQ), at the contest's deadline. Projects completed within the last four years are eligible for entry, with the exception of the 'Classic' categories, in which entries must be more than 10 years old. A panel of judges, selected by the PHTCC's award committee and representing various industry professionals from across Canada, will choose the winning designs, focusing on the esthetic features of the installation, including decking, landscaping and other amenities. Gold, silver and bronze awards will be handed out in 46 categories during the Canadian Pool & Spa Conference & Expo's gala evening, which is to be held Dec. 8, 2010. Details on the competition are available by calling the PHTCC at (905) 761-7920.
