Cal Spas receives UL listing for swim spas |
Photo courtesy Cal Spas Cal Spas’ new Fitness Pro™ swim and fitness spa line has received certification from Underwriters Laboratories (UL), making it the first UL-listed product in the swim spa category. Underwriters Laboratories (UL), a recognized independent product safety certification organization, recently announced the certification of Cal Spas' new Fitness Pro™ swim and fitness spa line. "The line's sheer size and power requirements presented challenges for UL engineers during the listing certification process," explained Simin Zhou, vice-president and general manager for UL's appliance, HVAC/R and component business unit. "By working closely with the engineering team at Cal Spas and including collaboration with several of the company's component manufacturing engineers, we were able to reach our common goal—the first UL listed swim spa on the market today. This project is a successful beginning for the testing and certification of the next generation of spa products."
