| Spa companies make wish come true |

Marquis Spas and Great Escape Hot Tubs came together this summer to grant Carson Huelin's biggest wish—to have a hot tub of his very own. In a celebration held on July 27 at the Huelin home in Brantford, Ont., representatives of the two companies delivered a hot tub to Carson's backyard as part of Marquis' partnership with the Make-A-Wish Foundation® (Backyard Brands donated additional chemicals). This marks the first Canadian wish granted by Marquis, which has been granting wishes south of the border through its 'In the Spirit of a Wish' program for nearly a decade. Marquis announced the Canadian expansion of the program this April. Carson, 6, suffers from Batten disease, a neurodegenerative disease with symptoms that can include seizures, poor circulation in the extremities and curvature of the spine. His wish for a hot tub was made in part because soaking in the hot water offers therapeutic benefits, relaxing Carson's muscles and joints. In addition to the hot tub delivery, Carson was also treated to a visit from the Brantford Fire Department, who helped fill the spa with a fire hose. Donning a special uniform and helmet, Carson also got a quick spin around the block in a fire engine. Marquis is now offering a discount program to help grant hot tub wishes through their alliance with the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Canada. A percentage of sales of the company's new 'Wish' spa, which was the model donated to the Huelin family, will also benefit the foundation. "Marquis Spas and Great Escape Hot Tubs are really making a difference in Carson's life by helping grant his hot tub wish," said Jennifer Ritter, CEO of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Canada. "We couldn't be more excited to have Marquis Spas on board supporting wishes in Canada. Together we will be able to give our courageous wish children a well-deserved break from being sick for years to come."
