 The success of ForumPiscine 2009 reflects Italy's growing pool market. Photo courtesy Piscine Oggi ForumPiscine 2009, a new conference and trade show dedicated to the world of water, was an unqualified success, according to show representative Alice Spiga, reflecting Italy's growing residential and commercial pool industry. The event took place February 20-22 at VeronaFiere conference centre in Verona, Italy, with more than 5,000 attendees, 900 registered congress attendees and over 100 exhibiting companies. Exhibitors displayed a large range of products covering the entire pool sector as well as equipment, facilities and services for the fitness and wellness industries. Over 20 seminars took place during the conference/trade show, including a popular session by Skip Phillips of the Genesis 3 Design Group, who shared his personal experience designing innovative pools. The Italian Federation of Swimming and the Rome Organizing Committee 2009 also offered attendees a presentation on facility upgrades for the FINA World Swimming Championships. The 13th FINA games take place in Rome, July 17 to August 2, 2009. Dates for ForumPiscine 2010 will be announced as soon as they are determined.
