| Canadian pool show returns to Niagara Falls |

The 2012 Canadian Pool & Spa Conference & Expo will return to the Scotiabank Convention Centre in Niagara Falls, Ont., this November. Following rave reviews of the 2011 Canadian Pool & Spa Conference & Expo in Niagara Falls, Ont., the Pool & Hot Tub Council of Canada (PHTCC) has signed an agreement that will see the 2012 show return to the Scotiabank Convention Centre (SCCN) Nov. 26-29. According to the council, one of the main reasons for returning to Niagara Falls is to build on the success of last year's show, which saw nearly 2,000 attendees, including manufacturers, retailers, dealers and builders from across Canada and the United States. "We were delighted with the positive feedback received from the 2011 convention," says Rob Wood, PHTCC's executive director. "Attendance held up extremely well; delegates and exhibitors alike appreciated the exhibition, educational program and the city itself. We plan to build on its success and are already making arrangements for this year's show. It will be even better." Each year the show's educational program features a series of informative seminars and courses that supports the technical advancement of the industry. In preparation for this year's program, the PHTCC has issued a call for seminar ideas. All submissions will be evaluated by the program committee based on perceived suitability and relevance to the program as well as the potential range of application. In other news, the PHTCC's Toronto chapter will be hosting a health and safety training event on March 22 at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites in Markham, Ont.
