The Lowry School of Pool & Spa Chemistry announces its course dates for 2009. The in-class course offers a hands-on approach to pool and spa maintenance and covers the basic concepts of water maintenance and balance, testing methods and adjusting procedures; communicable diseases and contact time (CT) values; chlorine and bromine sanitation; alternative sanitizers and more.

Designed for pool operators, health inspectors and service professionals, the course is led by independent industry experts who will give students the tools required to handle problems caused by faulty water chemistry and to evaluate cost-effective ways to manage a pool facility.

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a degree of certification, which proves they have attained a level of knowledge necessary to be a certified pool water technician anywhere in Canada.

Courses will be held on March 31 & April 1 (London, Ont.), April 21-22 (Ottawa, Ont.) and April 29-30 (Vancouver, B.C.). For more information or to register online, visit www.lowryschools.com.
