An investigation by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has revealed some certified pool/spa drains may not comply with the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act (P&SS Act), due to improper testing protocols used by some laboratories.

Nearly one million pool and spa drain covers have been voluntarily recalled by several U.S. manufacturers after the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced they were improperly rated for water flow capacity.
