A community-driven campaign is underway to install a new diving board at the Centennial Park Pool in Brockton, Ont.

The diving board was once a centrepiece at the pool but was removed during the COVID-19 pandemic after a professional assessment deemed the aging structure no longer safe.

Responding to strong public feedback, Brockton has initiated a fundraising campaign to raise $17,441.83, which represents half of the total project cost of $34,883.66. This total includes commercial-grade equipment, delivery, and installation.

Two notable local contributions have supported the initiative so far. Hammond Power Solutions has donated $5,000, and the Rotary Club of Walkerton has added $2,500.

The reinstallation, targeted for summer 2025, is expected to boost engagement among youth and families in the area, especially as few alternative recreational facilities exist nearby.
