Waterplay has earned two Leading Edge Awards from the World Waterpark Association (WWA) for its work on Sun World Vũng Tàu and Aquatopia Water Park in Vietnam.

The Kelowna, B.C.-based aquatic play manufacturer received the awards at the WWA’s annual symposium in Las Vegas. The recognition highlights the company’s contributions to two destinations that combine large-scale water attractions with interactive splash pad experiences.

The WWA Leading Edge Awards recognize innovation and leadership that advance creativity, technology, and the guest experience across the water attractions industry.

“To be recognized with two Leading Edge Awards is incredibly meaningful, particularly as we continue to see the impact of our work across Vietnam,” said Jill White, president of Waterplay. “Following last year’s recognition for another project in Vietnam, these awards speak to the ambition of our partners and what’s possible when great design, thoughtful collaboration, and a shared belief in the power of play come together.”

Spanning 15 hectares, Sun World Vũng Tàu features 20 major attractions and nearly 100 water slide lanes. Waterplay’s splash pads add an interactive play area where visitors can splash, explore, and play at their own pace.

Aquatopia Water Park forms part of the larger Sun World Hòn Thơm destination. Waterplay’s splash pad complements the park’s high-energy attractions with immersive water play that encourages hands-on exploration and active participation.
