Canadian landscape companies and communities earned recognition for excellence, innovation, and professionalism at the 23rd Annual National Awards of Landscape Excellence (NALE).

The winners were announced on August 11 during a gala at Delta Hotels St. John’s in Newfoundland. The Canadian Nursery Landscape Association (CNLA), a national not-for-profit federation of nine provincial landscape and horticulture associations, organizes the awards.

About 130 industry members from across the country attended the event.

The awards recognize achievements across the landscape industry. Categories also highlight plant use, green innovation, landscape features, and community initiatives.

The 2026 awards marked a milestone for Rockscape. Its Lake Joseph Residence in Muskoka, Ont., became the first project in NALE’s 23-year history to receive the Grand Award of Achievement. The award represents the highest level of recognition at NALE. The award goes to projects that earn a perfect score from the national judging panel.
