This deal is part of CMP’s continuing strategy to develop a complete portfolio of recreational water products. The combined expertise and product offerings will allow the company to deliver increased value to DEL Ozone and CMP customers.
“We are well-positioned to provide new opportunities in the advanced water sanitization market,” says Dr. William Drury, CEO and president of CMP, a supplier of pool, spa, and bath products in Newnan, Ga.
“Our current customers will enjoy better access to a proven advanced solution and as the industry continues to request safe and energy-efficient water treatment, we will be ready to provide innovative products and services for consumers and pool professionals.”
With CMP’s acquisition of DEL Ozone, based in San Luis Obispo, Calif., the company will look to provide enhanced solutions over traditional sanitization methods. Ozone and UV are proven to be effective against tough micro-organisms, including Cryptosporidium (Crypto), antibiotic-resistant staph infections, Escherichia coli (E. coli), Salmonella, Listeria, and Pseudomonas.
The equipment CMP has obtained in this acquisition supports the company’s strategy of adding product lines that offer a long-term benefit to its recreational water customers.
